How to build a hallway shoe rack

Steps

  1. Cut two sides 500 mm.
  2. Drill paired dowel holes at a slight angle so shoes sit heel-down.
  3. Glue in dowels cut to 800 mm.
  4. Sand and finish.
Tip: Angle the tiers 15° back so shoes do not slide off.

  • 2 × 94×18 mm pine boards, 1.8 m
  • 3 × 28 mm dowel, 900 mm
  • Glue and screws

Tools

  • Saw
  • Drill with 28 mm spade bit
  • Clamps
